I took some photos of my Mom’s “nameless” blooming flowers as I find them interesting in shape and texture, and as well as pretty. (:
Today, I received a newsletter from NParks (“National Parks” in Singapore), one part of it was mentioning a upcoming talk in one of the library about a flower. Looking at the unclear images they’ve given, I thought I saw these flowers my Mom planted.
Hoya Carnosa

Hoya Multiflora – “Shooting Star Hoya”
Yes! I finally found out their name, “Hoya” (Thanks to NParks). Pretty flower with pretty name; what a match!
Hoya is an evergreen tropical flowering & climbing plant. It has about 200-300 species and can be found in Southern Asia, Australia and Polynesia. Botanist Robert Brown named this flower, in honor of his friend, botanist Thomas Hoy.
